The sudden death of Assam’s cultural icon and celebrated singer Zubeen Garg in Singapore has left the North East and the music world shaken. His wife, Garima Saikia Garg, in an exclusive interview with India today, spoke about his death and raised disturbing questions about the negligence that she believes led to his passing.

Zubeen, 52, was in Singapore to attend a cultural festival when he drowned after reportedly swimming during a yacht party. The Singapore Police, in its first autopsy report, has ruled out foul play, saying the death was accidental. But Garima Saikia Garg has challenged that version, pointing to serious lapses.
