In a rare and poignant act, Linda Murphy, a Massachusetts woman, wrote her own obituary—full of humour and grace—before passing away on September 21. Her farewell note, which she wrote five months before her death, has now gone viral.
Murphy was diagnosed with Bulbar ALS, a neurodegenerative disease, in 2022.
Bulbar ALS, also known as bulbar-onset amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, is a subtype of ALS, a progressive neurological disorder that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord.
