Another day, another loss. Dinesh Karthik’s India ended their Hong Kong Sixes campaign with a defeat to Sri Lanka in their final game of the tournament. The result marked India’s fourth consecutive loss in the 2025 edition of the invitational event, following earlier setbacks against Kuwait, the UAE and Nepal on Saturday, November 8.

On Sunday, India failed to bow out with pride against Lahiru Madushanka’s Sri Lankan side. Bowling first, India conceded a massive 138 runs in six overs and managed only 90 for 6 in reply. Opener Robin Uthappa, who had been searching for a meaningful knock, fell to Lahiru Samarakoon in the first ball of the third over after scoring 13 off 5 balls.
