Mark Wolf, a federal judge appointed nearly four decades ago by then US President Ronald Reagan, has resigned, saying he can no longer remain silent as President Donald Trump uses the law for partisan purposes.
In a personal essay published on Sunday in The Atlantic, Wolf said he relinquished his lifetime judicial appointment to speak freely against what he calls an assault on the rule of law by the Trump administration.
