South Africa off-spinner Simon Harmer has weighed in on the much-discussed pitch being used for the ongoing first Test against India at Eden Gardens in Kolkata, describing it as “a lot better” than the surfaces prepared for the 2015 series. The Eden track has become the centre of debate after 16 wickets fell on Day 2.
Resuming their first innings at 37 for 1, India were bowled out for 189 in response to South Africa’s 159.
