Attorney General Dale Marshall has again defended the Government’s record on police welfare, listing several measures aimed at improving service conditions within The Barbados Police Service.
His comments come in response to criticisms from the Leader of the Opposition, who questioned the Government’s commitment to law enforcement officers.
Marshall said that 300 new posts for Senior Constables have already been created, with back pay expected from April 2024. Forty-six Special Constables have agreed to transition to Police Constables, pending Cabinet approval.
