In a week when women emerged as the most decisive force in Bihar's politics, the most jarring story did not come from the campaign trail. It came from inside the home of the state's most recognisable political dynasty.

As the NDA celebrated a historic sweep powered by record female turnout, the 'mahila wave', Lalu Prasad Yadav's family was plunged into turmoil, led not by its political sons but by its anguished daughters.

At the same time that the BJP-JD(U) alliance flaunted its women-first governance model, a daughter of the Yadav household alleged that she was insulted, humiliated and compelled to leave the family home. Within hours, three more sisters quietly left too. The irony could not have been more dramatic, or more politically damaging.

A DAUGHTER WALKS OUT AS A PARTY COLLAPSES

The implosion happened right after RJD's electoral collapse. On the night the party's tally plummeted from 75 seats to around 25, Lalu Prasad Yadav's daughter Rohini Acharya, a doctor who has often been the family's emotional anchor, shockingly announced that she was quitting politics and stepping away from the family.

Her posts were raw and deeply personal.
