You may even envy him just a little bit, especially when your parents ask you exactly what you achieved at that stage in your life. But you don’t actually know Mamdani, and you certainly don’t know about the ‘Pakistani radical Marxist political movement’ that helped him inveigle his way into the hearts of millions of New Yorkers and into the city halls of powers.
