The government has issued a directive that children below 12 years of age should not be given any medicines which are not prescribed by a registered medical practitioner. Parents should not give any medicines to children blindly going by previous or older prescriptions of doctors.

The government will issue a directive to the Drugs Controller regarding the same and ensure that there is sufficient awareness
