India captain Shubman Gill has thrown his weight behind young batter Sai Sudharsan, who continues to search for consistency in Test cricket. Sudharsan’s quick dismissal in the first Test against West Indies in Ahmedabad, one of the few batting failures in an otherwise commanding Indian display, once again put the spotlight on his form. Yet, ahead of the second Test in Delhi, Gill’s message was one of calm and conviction.
