A fresh case of data theft has put popular chat app Discord in the spotlight, after hackers managed to steal sensitive information belonging to nearly 70,000 users. The leak involves government ID photos, making it one of the more serious breaches the platform has faced so far.
The company, which is widely used by gamers to chat, share files and join communities, said its core systems were not broken into.
