Venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) has dismissed recent reports suggesting it plans to open an office in India, even as leading artificial intelligence companies OpenAI and Anthropic confirmed they are expanding their presence in the country.
Earlier this week, several Indian media outlets reported that a16z was preparing to establish a Bengaluru office and was looking to hire a local partner.
