Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray on Saturday launched a scathing attack on the Maharashtra government's recently announced Rs 31,628 crore relief package for flood-hit farmers, terming it the "biggest joke in history" and demanding an immediate, complete loan waiver.
Speaking at a rally in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Thackeray warned that farmers would "take to the streets" if the Devendra Fadnavis-led Mahayuti government failed to declare a "complete loan waiver".
