That phenomenon is Shahnaz Husain, who not only brought India's treasured Ayurveda to the global stage but also rightfully earned the title of 'India's beauty queen'.

But how did it all begin? She got married very young, just after 7th standard, at the age of 15, and soon had a child. Though bright and good at her studies, she wasn't qualified to work at that age.
Then she made a life-changing decision: she would continue her studies, qualify herself, and build a career.
"I had two options: to be a good housewife and stay home, or to work and be independent. I chose the latter. I didn't want to live a life where I was financially dependent on anyone," she recalls.

Husain, a firm believer in financial independence, told herself, "I must be independent because there may come a time when I need money and can't get it. My money should be mine."
