US President Donald Trump said he was "good at solving wars," saying he did not seek a Nobel Prize for his peace efforts as he turned his attention to the escalating conflict between Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Speaking aboard Air Force One, en route to the Middle East, Trump repeated his long-standing claim that tariff threats helped avert war between India and Pakistan, insisting that his diplomacy was aimed at saving lives, not winning awards.

Trump also said the Gaza war had ended, calling the Israel-Hamas ceasefire the "eighth war" resolved during his presidency.
