Zoho co-founder Sridhar Vembu is praising yet another homegrown Indian app, and this time, itโ€™s not one from his own company. Instead, itโ€™s the newly launched navigation app Mappls by Indian mapping firm MapmyIndia. In one of his recent posts on X (formerly Twitter), Vembu called the app โ€œvery niceโ€ and said it reflects โ€œdecades of R&D, much longer than Google Maps.โ€ Vembuโ€™s remarks came in response to a post by Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, who publicly encouraged citizens to try the โ€œSwadeshi โ€˜Mapplsโ€™โ€ app developed by MapmyIndia.
