The African Union (AU) on Wednesday suspended Madagascar from all activities following a coup that removed President Andry Rajoelina from power, as Army Colonel Michael Randrianirina prepared to assume the presidency.
The suspension came after the military leader announced he would soon be sworn in as president following days of political turmoil and street protests.
