From Amitabh Bachchan to Rajinikanth, Shah Rukh Khan, Mohanlal, and Chiranjeevi, their films have always made many Diwalis even more special. In India, where movies and cricket form a major source of entertainment, nothing gives as much joy as community watching.

This year, Diwali is different. Nearly half a dozen films are lined up for release leading up to the festival of lights, but unlike previous years, we won't see the superstars we grew up watching.
