The Karnataka High Court has upheld the arrest of KC Veerendra, alias โPuppyโ, Congress MLA from Chitradurga, by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in a multi-crore betting and money laundering case.
The court dismissed a writ petition filed by his wife, Chaitra, challenging the legality of his arrest, ruling that the EDโs action was lawful and backed by sufficient material under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002.
