Pakistan's Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has sparked controversy once again with a fresh set of remarks during a televised interview, declaring that the country is prepared for a possible two-front war amid escalating border tensions with the Taliban.

"Pakistan is prepared for a two-front war," Asif said, when asked about the possibility of tensions intensifying along the Indian border. He warned of "strong chances" that India could "play dirty along the border", adding that Islamabad has already formulated strategies to respond.
