A professor at Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar College, Delhi University, was allegedly slapped and assaulted on Thursday joint secretary of the Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU), along with members of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP).
The incident occurred on campus in the presence of police and was captured on video, which has since circulated widely. The footage shows the joint secretary Deepika Jha and a group of students assaulting the professor inside the college premises while police looked on.
