Star India batters Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have returned to the very place where they first showcased glimpses of their greatness, as India prepare to take on Australia in a three-match ODI series beginning on 19 October. The two stalwarts are set to mark their international return after a seven-month hiatus, having last represented the country in March 2025.
However, much has changed in the meantime. India have entered a new era in their cricketing history under the leadership of captain Shubman Gill. Following Rohit and Kohliβs retirement from Test cricket, the young brigade rose to the occasion and helped India draw the five-match series against England 2-2.
