Israel signalled on Sunday that it does not want the fragile Gaza ceasefire to collapse, even after a deadly exchange of fire left dozens dead and forced the military to briefly suspend aid to the enclave. The Israel Defence Forces said it had resumed enforcement of the truce following retaliatory airstrikes against Hamas militants accused of violating the agreement.
