There is an adage: fake it until you make it. In India, however, our new-age entrepreneurs, the Sharks and the hustlers, have turned this upside down. They operate on the mantra of “make it until you can fake it.” Confused? Don’t be, just look at eggs in your kitchen. You will understand.
Or let me try this differently.
A little over a year ago I discovered this egg brand. This brand was selling “jumbo” eggs that were truly among the largest I could buy in the market. I had tried tens of egg brands but none of them delivered the consistency and quality this brand offered. The eggs were clean with healthy looking shells, they seemed fresh and they looked grand. Importantly, they were the only eggs in India that could match large or medium-sized eggs as defined by the US and European standards. I enjoyed them a lot. Until they changed.
