The study, published on Wednesday, analysed 3,000 responses from popular AI-driven software assistants and highlighted the scale of misinformation and sourcing issues in their news-related replies. The report arrives as more people, especially younger audiences, turn to AI assistants for news, according to the Reuters Institute's Digital News Report 2025.
