Chennai’s renowned Marina Beach bore a sorry picture on Wednesday as thick toxic foam covered the sea shore following a fresh spell of monsoon rain, raising health and environmental concerns. Videos and pictures of the beach, that have gone viral on social media, showed froth blanketing a large portion of the 13-kilometre-long beach to the dismay of the locals and visitors.
