US President Donald Trump will meet Chinese President Xi Jinping on October 30 on the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit in Busan, South Korea, the White House confirmed on Thursday.
"It will be an important opportunity for President Trump to engage directly with President Xi," White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters. "The president will participate in a series of bilateral meetings as part of his Asia tour -- with the leaders of Malaysia, Japan, and South Korea — before concluding with President Xi."
