India on Thursday welcomed the landmark Gaza Peace Agreement signed earlier this month and praised the diplomatic efforts led by US President Donald Trump, while reiterating its long-standing support for a two-state solution as the only viable path to lasting peace in the Middle East.
Speaking at the UN Security Council Open Debate on the Situation in the Middle East, including the Palestinian Question, Indiaβs Permanent Representative to the UN, Parvathaneni Harish, said New Delhi hoped the βpositive diplomatic momentumβ generated by the Sharm el-Sheikh summit would lead to enduring peace across the region.
