Russia says it has successfully tested its nuclear-powered Burevestnik cruise missile, a weapon President Vladimir Putin claims can outsmart any defense shield and travel “virtually without limit.” The announcement marks what Moscow calls a decisive step toward deployment of one of its most secretive and controversial military projects.
