Venture capitalist Vinod Khosla says that, in order to manage the economic disruption brought about by artificial intelligence, the United States should own a 10 per cent stake in every public company. Speaking at the TechCrunch Disrupt 2025 conference, the founder of Khosla Ventures argued that owning a set percentage of shares would help the government ensure that the immense wealth generated by AI is shared more evenly across society.
