Nearly 37 years after a Railway Travelling Ticket Examiner (TTE) was accused of demanding bribes from passengers, the Supreme Court has exonerated him, ruling that the charges were not conclusively proven.
The apex court noted that the incident dated back to May 31, 1988, and that the employee had passed away during the long course of proceedings.
