For the first time in six years, US President Donald Trump and his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping came face-to-face on Thursday on the sidelines of the APEC Summit in South Korea, in a high-stakes meeting aimed at easing months of trade tensions and restoring stability between the worldโs two largest economies.
โWe know each other very well, we have a great relationship. We are going to have a very successful meeting. Good to see him again. We could sign a trade deal today,โ Trump told reporters as he and Xi posed for the cameras at the Gimhae International Airport in Busan, moments after the two Presidents shook hands.

"He (Xi) is a very tough negotiator, that is not good. We know each other well. We have always had a great relationship," he added.
