Arattai, India’s homegrown messaging platform, has gained thousands of new users in recent weeks. The app was developed by Chennai-based firm Zoho. While Arattai has been pitched as the Indian alternative to WhatsApp, one missing feature made many reluctant to use the platform - end-to-end encryption.
