Benchmark indices opened flat on Friday as volatility continued to overshadow otherwise supportive cues such as strong corporate earnings and easing global trade tensions.
At around 9:24 am, the S&P BSE Sensex was up just 21.15 points at 84,425.61, while the NSE Nifty50 edged higher by 7.35 points to 25,885.20. Broader market indices also hovered marginally higher, mirroring the lack of conviction at the headline level.
