Growing up in Old Trafford, Greater Manchester, Lerone Murphy’s childhood was a whirlwind of football, friends, and the occasional mischief. Living near Manchester United’s iconic stadium meant the game was never far away. “My childhood was crazy,” Murphy recalls. “I used to love playing football, going out with friends. Sometimes we got into trouble, but it was fun. Football was a big part of my life.”But life in a deprived, rough area shaped him in ways beyond sport.
