Some products are so good that it becomes difficult to “upgrade” them. I believe this has been a problem — a good problem to have, but a problem nonetheless, that has faced Apple when it comes to AirPods Pro. The version two of these earbuds launched in 2022 has been so good that it is only now, three years later, that Apple is releasing an upgrade in the form of AirPods Pro 3. The interesting bit, however, is that after using the Pro 3 for over a week, I am not entirely sure if it is an upgrade in core areas. Although, it sure comes with some cool new goodies.

Having said that, the AirPods Pro 3 should be an automatic purchase for anyone looking to get the most versatile and almost the perfect pair of buds to go with their Mac, iPhone or iPad. It is just that compared to the AirPods Pro 2, I am not convinced that they are a major upgrade.
AirPods Pro 3 design
This is a point -- the Pro 3 is very similar to the Pro 2 -- that is evident as soon as you look at the two products side-by-side. In terms of design, the changes are fairly evolutionary. The AirPods Pro 3 comes in the same classic hard and shiny plastic case that Apple has used since the beginning of its AirPods era.
