Looking back, it is now hard to imagine Windows without touchscreen. It feels like it has always supported it but that is far from the truth. Full-fledged support was only added in 2012 with Windows 8. This was also the year that Microsoft would launch its own Surface branded devices, as if to show off their brand-new superpowers. You could say that β€œthose were the days.” But I digress. The lesson to take away from all this is that time flies. You don’t even have to believe me. Look at the market. It is booming.

Wherever you go, you see a new machine and a new form factor. 2-in-1s are everywhere. Even more importantly, they are no longer aspirational or something you dream of buying some day. The threshold has come down to a level where more people can afford them. HP has been at the forefront of this revolution. Frankly speaking, the brand has been making convertibles for as long as one can remember. It does premium well. It does mid-premium as well, if not better. Case in point: the OmniBook X Flip 14.
