The Indian Space Research Organisation (Isro) is set to launch its heaviest communication satellite ever, CMS-03 or GSAT-7R, aboard the Launch Vehicle Mark-III a.k.a LVM-3.

This mission marks a significant milestone in India’s space program, showcasing advancements in satellite technology and launch capabilities while addressing critical defense needs.

The vehicle will lift off at 5:26 pm IST from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota on Sunday. The countdown for the launch began on Saturday. LVM-3’s ability to carry up to 4,000 kg to GTO and 8,000 kg to low Earth orbit makes it suitably equipped. (Photo: Isro)
