Google has trimmed its cloud workforce again, this time cutting more than 100 jobs in design-focused teams, as the company pushes harder towards artificial intelligence and tightens spending in other areas. The layoffs, as first reported by CNBC, affected employees working in groups such as โquantitative user experience researchโ and โplatform and service experience.โ These are teams that generally collect data, run surveys and study how people use products so that engineers and designers can improve them.
