Palestinian-American activist Linda Sarsour has claimed that the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR), which is under congressional scrutiny for alleged links to the terrorist group Hamas, was the main funder for Zohran Mamdani's campaign for the New York City mayoral polls. Mamdani, a Democrat, is the frontrunner in the race, the results of which will be announced on November 4.
