A dense, grey haze continued to smother Delhi on Tuesday, as the cityβs air quality remained in the βvery poorβ category for the third consecutive day. The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) recorded an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 309, while several pockets of the capital slipped into βsevereβ levels.
The AQI for many areas in Delhi went beyond 400, indicating air thick with toxic particles far beyond safe limits.
