As Cybersecurity Awareness Month just wrapped up in October, Iโ€™ve been thinking a lot about how teens like me can stay safe online. This means more than posters and reminders that we promptly ignore!

The more I learn about technology, AI, neo-banking, and digital money, the more keenly aware I am that staying safe online requires daily discipline.

I have classmates who think itโ€™s only girls who need to be vigilant and careful of strangers on the Internet. Thatโ€™s not actually true โ€” I have so many friends โ€” boys and girls โ€” who have been targeted online in some way, either with strangers approaching us, financial scams, or bullying by spreading rumours.
