As Cybersecurity Awareness Month just wrapped up in October, I’ve been thinking a lot about how teens like me can stay safe online. This means more than posters and reminders that we promptly ignore!
The more I learn about technology, AI, neo-banking, and digital money, the more keenly aware I am that staying safe online requires daily discipline.
I have classmates who think it’s only girls who need to be vigilant and careful of strangers on the Internet. That’s not actually true — I have so many friends — boys and girls — who have been targeted online in some way, either with strangers approaching us, financial scams, or bullying by spreading rumours.
