New York City's new mayor, Zohran Mamdani, has wasted no time taking aim at one of his chief political targets, the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). In his fiery first address after winning the mayoral election, the Democratic socialist and first Muslim, Indian-origin mayor of the city accused ICE agents of operating above the law and promised to hold them accountable just like any other citizen.
