The Womenโs Premier League (WPL) 2025 retentions have seemingly been finalised. The BCCI had set Wednesday, November 5, as the deadline for confirming the list of retained and released players, with the auction scheduled for November 27 at Aerocity, New Delhi. Before the official announcement, ESPNcricinfo accessed the list of players retained by their respective franchises.
All eyes were on the Mumbai Indians (MI), the most successful side in the leagueโs short but eventful history, having clinched the title twice in 2023 and 2025. There was also plenty of buzz surrounding the Delhi Capitals (DC), who have consistently come close to glory but have fallen just short of the title three seasons in a row.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) fans were equally anxious, especially after their maiden championship win in 2024, following two disappointing seasons where they failed to progress beyond the league stage.
