Tinder is hoping artificial intelligence can do what countless profile bios and pick-up lines could not: bring back the spark. The world’s most popular dating app is experimenting with a new AI-driven matchmaking tool called β€˜Chemistry’, designed to learn more about users by asking playful, interactive questions and, with their consent, analysing photos from their camera rolls. The feature is currently being piloted in New Zealand and Australia and will become a β€œmajor pillar of Tinder’s 2026 product experience,” according to Match Group CEO Spencer Rascoff.
