Over the past few days, India's busiest airport has been grappling with suspected GPS spoofing incidents usually common in conflict zones or even along the sensitive India-Pakistan border. This week, Delhi's Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport experienced rare cases of GPS spoofing, where fake satellite signals were transmitted to mislead aircraft about their positions, causing flight diversions and congestion.

On Friday, too, nearly 400 flights were delayed, even though it was attributed to a technical glitch in the Air Traffic Control (ATC) system. Its domino effect was felt across most airports in North India, impacting hundreds of other flights.
