India has set an ambitious goal: by 2050, every classroom will be virtualised, equipped with digital tools, smartboards, and AI-driven learning platforms. The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 lays out this vision, promising personalised learning and digital empowerment for every student.

Yet, on the ground, millions of classrooms still lack basic digital infrastructure. According to UDISE+ 2024-25, 36.5 percent of schools in India do not have internet access. For many students, the promise of virtual learning remains an unattainable dream.
