Shares of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) surged over 9% on Thursday even as broader markets opened in the red, after Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) Chairman Tuhin Kanta Pandey made supportive comments on futures and options (F&O) trading.
At the end of the trading session on November 7, BSE shares closed 8.61% higher at Rs 2,666.90 apiece on the NSE, bucking the overall market trend.
