Elon Musk is having quite a week. Moments after Tesla shareholders gave the world’s richest man the green light for his jaw-dropping $1 trillion pay package, the billionaire took the stage and laid out an even bigger vision, one where his humanoid robot, Optimus, ends poverty, eliminates jobs, and maybe even keeps criminals in check. According to Musk, Optimus will “actually eliminate poverty,” make “working optional,” and boost the global economy by as much as 100 times.
