Former Pakistan cricketer Sana Mir has issued a clarification about her controversial usage of the term "Azad Kashmir" on live TV during a Women's World Cup 2025 match. Commentating during the Pakistan vs Bangladesh match on Thursday, Mir called Natalia Pervaiz as a player from "Azad Kashmir", referring to the Indian region that is illegally occupied by Pakistan.
"Natalia, who comes from Kashmir, Azad Kashmir, plays in Lahore, a lot of cricket.
